How many museum visitors can participate in a tour? Group Tours are designed to accommodate a minimum of ten museum visitors. Larger groups will be split into smaller groups with a maximum of fifteen people per docent. How long does a tour last? Tours are designed to be one hour in length and are available on specific days, based on our docent availability. However, the length of the tour, dates, and times can be adjusted to meet the needs of your group. Group tours can be scheduled during regular museum hours, Tuesday through Sunday. These guidelines apply to guided, walk-in, and self-guided tours. We encourage walk-in and self-guided groups to call in advance to receive up-to-date information about group tours. What if someone in my group needs special accommodations? Please let us know if any person in your group requires special accommodations when scheduling your visit. We will work with you to ensure that all your guests have a positive museum visit. How far in advance do I need to schedule a tour and how do I make reservations? Tours should be scheduled a minimum of ten business days in advance. You will receive a confirmation letter and additional tour information by e-mail after your reservation has been received. To schedule your museum visit, see contact information at the bottom of the page. How much does a tour cost and what forms of payment does the museum accept? Group tour program costs vary based on the total number of people. Tour bus driver and/or tour leaders always receive free admission and are not included in the total count. West Valley Art Museum accepts checks, credit cards (Mastercard, Visa, and American Express), and city purchase orders. There is a five-dollar processing fee for purchase order payments. View our admission rates. Where can we eat at the museum? Discount lunches are available for groups with a minimum order of ten. A lunch order form will be sent along with the confirmation letter by e-mail. (No outside food is permitted in the museum). If available, the museum’s Hoover Cultural Center Event Space may be reserved for one hour for an additional twenty dollars. Please inform the group tours office of your lunch plans when you make your tour reservation. Where do we park the bus? Bus parking is available in the lot adjacent to the museum. Bus drivers are asked to check in at our security entrance prior to joining the tour at the museum. Individual cars accompanying the group may park in our free parking lot. Additional parking information will be included with your confirmation letter. What if we are running late or need to cancel our tour? If you are running late, contact the museum by phone (623.972.0635). Your visit may be cancelled up to ten business days in advance of your scheduled visit date without a penalty. Cancellations made less than ten business days in advance will result in a charge of fifty percent of the original amount due. The cancellation policy will be included with your confirmation letter.
